The Visionaries is a PBS documentary television series which profiles, in an in-depth and poignant fashion, the human impact and extraordinary involvement of dedicated, caring individuals in the work of exemplary nonprofit organizations. The series, introduced by Sam Waterson, is about to enter its fourth season.

In February of 1995, the Visionaries film crew came to Chapel Hill to create a film about Group B Strep and its Association.

"We are grateful to Bill Mosher, producer, and the Visionaries staff for making yet another tool to help educate the public about GBS infections. We are honored to be chosen and to be a part of this incredible documentary series," stated Gina Burns, GBSA President. "Viewers not only receive life-saving information - they are inspired to reach out to others in this journey called life."

The documentary is one half hour long and explores the issues surrounding GBS infection. It takes you into the lives of our members and their children's battles with this disease. Leading GBS researchers are interviewed; pediatricians, epidemiologists, and the scientists developing the future GBS vaccine. The documentary shows how the love for our children can inspire many.
